If your new countertop is sitting in the garage waiting to become a kitchen, that is my cue. I install supplied tops across Abbotsford: laminate, butcher block, prefab quartz, and IKEA slabs, levelled on the boxes, secured properly, seams and caulk lines finished clean. Butcher block gets oiled and sealed so it survives real cooking. Old tops get disconnected, hauled out, and disposed of as part of the quote if you want them gone. What I do not do is fabricate or template custom stone; that belongs to a counter shop with CNC gear, and I will say so up front. The work here tracks the housing: refresh projects in established Clearbrook and East Hill kitchens, and finish-it-yourself renos in newer Auguston homes where the owners supplied everything but the installer. One written estimate, a $150 minimum, and a countertop that sits flat and stays put.

Common setup: an East Hill kitchen where the laminate top from the nineties is lifting at the seam, and a new prefab quartz top is already ordered. I pull the sink, disconnect the plumbing at the shutoffs, remove and dispose of the old surface, check the cabinet boxes for level, then set, secure, and seam the new top with clean caulk at the backsplash line. In a townhome bathroom it is usually a vanity top swap that takes an afternoon. Field cuts for sinks or faucets happen only on materials that allow them, which I confirm before quote day.
Cutouts, seams and the sink drive this one. I measure the run and the openings first, because a countertop quoted off a photo is a guess and you cannot check a guess. You approve a written number before I pick up a tool in Abbotsford.
