If your new countertop can get to the house, I can usually get it installed. Laminate, butcher block, prefab quartz, and IKEA tops are the regular menu in White Rock, going into beach-area condos, hillside kitchens, and bathroom vanities in older homes. The unglamorous half of the job here is access. Marine Drive parking, condo elevators, and long exterior stairways up the hill all change how a heavy slab travels from the truck to the cabinets, so I plan the carry as part of the quote instead of discovering it on install day. The work itself is levelling, fastening to the boxes, drilling for the sink and faucet where the material allows it, finishing the edges, and sealing the seams and wall line clean. Custom stone fabrication stays with the counter shops. If the old top needs to go, tear-out and disposal get their own line in the written quote, and every countertop job starts from the $150 minimum.

Field note
A butcher block top for a character-home kitchen gets cut, fitted, oiled, and sealed on site. Prefab quartz headed into a condo galley near the Promenade is mostly a careful carry, a dead-level set, and clean silicone where the top meets the wall. On the hillside, older cabinet boxes are rarely level front to back, so I shim the boxes first rather than letting a new surface telegraph the slope. If the sink is changing at the same time, the cut-out and the plumbing disconnect go into the same written scope so there are no surprise line items.
Cutouts, seams and the sink drive this one. I measure the run and the openings first, because a countertop quoted off a photo is a guess and you cannot check a guess. You approve a written number before I pick up a tool in White Rock.
