Backsplash tile is my favourite work, and White Rock kitchens give it a good stage. Plenty of homes here have been renovated one era at a time, so the backsplash is often the piece that finally ties a kitchen together: subway over a freshly painted wall, herringbone behind a new range, a marble ledge under the window that looks at the bay. I handle layout, cuts, and grout myself, which is why the lines around outlets stay crisp and the inside corners actually meet. You pick the tile, from a box store or a specialty shop, and if you send wall photos first I will flag anything about your layout that would fight the tile before you order it. Old tile removal, wall prep, edge trim, grout colour, and the final caulk all go into the written scope. Estimate first, fixed price agreed, then I start, with the $150 minimum as the one number that never changes.

In view homes on the bluff, big windows put the backsplash in direct light for most of the day, so I plan the pattern so cuts land where the eye does not linger. The grout gets sealed and the counter line gets caulked before I call it done.
Tile size, layout and the number of outlets set the hours. This is my specialty, so I quote the layout I would actually cut, including the trim pieces most quotes leave out. You approve a written number before I pick up a tool in White Rock.
