The older Fleetwood and Whalley houses carry profiles that stopped being made, and there I aim for a near match with the joins placed out of sight, not a promise of invisible. South Surrey and Panorama Ridge tend toward larger rooms with long runs, where a floor that rolls even slightly shows up across three metres of baseboard. Guildford strata units get the tidy jobs: a shelf that has to hit real backing, closet systems, a damaged run of casing. Newton and Cloverdale rentals need trim that survives tenants, which means solid fastening and joins that do not open the first time something is dragged past. On a Surrey trim job I read the room before I cut anything: bevel on the corners, straightedge on the floor, and a note of where the studs actually are if shelving is involved. In an older Fleetwood house that usually means scribing rather than coping, because the wall is not flat enough for a clean cope to sit. In a South Surrey home with long walls I plan the join positions first so they land away from sightlines. In rental turnovers the priority shifts to durability: fewer joins, better fastening, and filler that will still be invisible after a year of use.
Length of run and number of corners drive this, not square footage. A long straight wall goes quickly; a room with five corners, a bulkhead, and a stair skirt is a different day's work at the same nominal footage. You approve a written number before I pick up a tool in Surrey.

Cloverdale trim comes from two eras. Near the town centre, the older houses have out-of-production profiles, framing that has settled, and floors that roll slightly, so each piece gets scribed and fitted, and I show you where a nearest match stops being invisible before I cut. Clayton Heights runs the other way: square rooms, current profiles, and townhouses wanting shelving, closet systems, and the finish work rushed at handover. West Cloverdale falls between the two, and toward Hazelwood the list can include shop shelving. Cloverdale is one of my shortest drives, which helps when a job needs a second fitting.
I can usually get close, and I will tell you where it will still read as new. Older Surrey profiles are frequently discontinued, so the plan is a nearest match with joins placed where you do not look. Send a photo straight down the profile with a tape across it.
