The older detached homes near the town centre have exterior trim, sills, and corner boards that have been repainted over soft wood more than once, so what looks like a paint problem is frequently a wood problem underneath. Clayton Heights complexes are newer, and what I find there is localised: a window head where flashing was missed, or a fascia corner where water ran during a wet stretch. Hazelwood properties on the south side have more exposed exterior and often outbuildings that nobody checks monthly. Being next door in Langley, I can get over to look properly rather than quoting off a distant photo, which on rot is the difference between a real number and a hopeful one.
